It has been awhile since I posted a blog entry, but I have good cause. As of today, I have been sick for exactly 21 days. I am not deathly ill, but I am stuffy and achy and coughy and runny and it won’t go away. And I am not the only one—all four of us are sick!

Our home feels absolutely disgusting. That sick feeling and the stale, stuffy air that accompanies it has been hovering for weeks. And we are a chorus of coughs all through the day. Trust me, it’s disgusting. But I guess the silver lining is that we can all share in our illness together.

My cold has kept me from posting the details of our Christmas and now the moment has come and gone. It feels like Christmas happened so long that I don’t even know where to begin. Of course, it was lovely (minus all the coughing and hacking). We were joined by my family (also sick) and shared Christmas Eve will all of Dana’s family, which hasn’t happened in forever!

The rest of Christmas was low key. The boys received too many presents. I received a fantastic new camera! We ate and napped plenty. There was some playing, some reading, some merriment. All the things families enjoy on Christmas.
