Random thoughts, observations, and other musings from a very long week:

1. The other night, as  I was tucking Henry in to bed, he looked at me and said,

Mom, are your sure you're a grown up because you look really young. Like you should still be in school.


2. At Tour de Fat I watched Henry help Wyatt wash off his face paint. They can be so kind and loving when they want to.




3. Yesterday at school, Wyatt got a gold star sticker for being kind and thoughtful. Henry missed the first half of recess because he had to finish a workbook assignment. He and the girl next to him been too distracted to work on the assignment with the rest of the class.


4. For story time last night, Wyatt picked a Berenstain Bears book and Henry picked a library book about Egypt. Wyatt suggested we read his book, the fiction book, first.

After a quick discussion about fiction vs. nonfiction, Henry thought his book was probably written by Indians. I thought maybe it was written by a historian or a social scientist.


5. Wyatt plays make believe by himself all the time. He is so independent and capable.
