well-groomed

6:34 AM

Last week I walked into the living room and found Henry and Wyatt posed in front of the mirror combing each others hair.

They had just showered and had, I guess, decided to comb their hair. And then they decided to comb each others hair. Henry was much more into it than Wyatt. He offered Wyatt directions for combing his hair just so. Very specific directions like, comb more on the back, by my neck. When it was Henry's turn to comb Wyatt's hair, he was very slow and meticulous in his movements. So much so that Wyatt tired of the whole thing long before Henry was satisfied with his work.

And I thought I was going to miss out on all that girl stuff! Silly Hannah. That'll teach me to gender stereotype.

  2. So, I am reading this blog and smiling like a fool...why? Because I love the way the tongue sticks out when these precious boys are doing something important....it cracks me up and reminds me of my Andrew (who is a whopping 9 years now!!) and how quickly time goes. I wish to heck I would have blogged...good job momma! You are gonna have so much great stuff to look back on!

    1. Thanks, Maggie. I love that intense thinking can always be identified by Wyatt's tongue peeking out from the corner of his mouth.
