twin tuesdays: fighting
8:39 AMDo your twins fight?
Mine do. In fact, Henry and Wyatt seem to be fighting a lot lately. Of course, they very often play well together but it's the fighting that stands out because it's so loud. So loud.
Over the weekend we sent them outside to play and just a few short minutes later we could hear them screaming at each other in the front yard. Stephen was slightly worried about the neighbors hearing them. I was just thankful they were outside.
This lead to a conversation about fighting. Stephen doesn't remember constantly fighting with his sister. I know I fought with my brothers but not the same way Henry and Wyatt fight. And I know my brothers fought, although I don't remember it being constant.
So is this constant fighting a twin thing? A twin thing as in two children the same age going through the same developmental changes and frustrations compared to siblings staggered in age? I have this assumption that siblings staggered in age are able to approach conflict differently. Am I right, you parents of singletons?
And what about gender? As boys, do Henry and Wyatt fight more than boy/girl or girl/girl twins might?
At any rate, I hope it passes soon. I am not up for 12 more years of constant screaming matches followed by an occasional punch to the gut. Yikes!
