A few weeks ago I took engagement pictures for our friends Wes and Melissa. I've mentioned them here before. They're getting married, obviously 'cause I took their engagement photos.

Anyway, Melissa gave me permission to post some of the photos on my blog so that I could show off my handy work. Not that I think my work is all that handy. I am more than pleased with the photos Melissa selected as her favorites but I still have a long way to go in learning how to take professional looking photographs.

But we all gotta start somewhere, right?



And since I am playing professional photographer, I went ahead and watermarked each photo lest someone claim one as their own. Speaking of claiming your own work, I can't take credit for the handholding photo. Melissa's friend Anna took that one. Anna also touched up the photos, although I fiddled around with them again myself. It's part of my learning process.

I also really like this photo. It's not engagement photo material but I like it well enough to show it off.



Now that you've seen my mad skills, does anyone need some non-professional pictures taken? I need the practice and I'll work for slabs of red meat. Think about it.
