a bear and a rabbit are in the woods...
12:46 PMStephen and I escaped to Ketchum over the weekend and I don't know about him, but I returned more tired than refreshed! We lived there for about 6 months at the sweet, young age of 22. Whenever we return without the boys (which would actually just be twice now) we try to party like its 2002! It's not.
Some friends joined us on Saturday and we headed up Trail Creek to take in a true Idaho fall and enjoy a picnic.
It started raining a few minutes after we got out of car, so wine and cheese in hand, we all got back in the car. Oh so cozy--as in close up!
Just before it was time to go, Kira had to find a pee to tree behind. And that is pretty much how the rest of the day went.
We met up with the boys on the side of the road the next day. That is a funny image--two small boys waiting in the ditch bank with boosters and a suitcase. Anyway, TomTom sent them home with four big pumpkins from his garden!
We have plans to carve them next weekend. Monday morning Wyatt was orchestrating the pumpkin carving and trying to convince Stephen that his pumpkin should be a skeleton. Stephen has his own ideas for his pumpkin, but Wyatt also a larger plan for all the pumpkins--a boy after his mother's own heart--bossy!..but well intended.
Back to the weekend. Outside of Fairfield, the boys--all the boys--took some awesome photos of dilapidated buildings. Artists--all three.

And then Henry had to go a take a picture of is crotch and tell everyone he took a picture of his privates. He was so pleased with himself but he lost his turn with the camera--because that sort of behavior is inappropriate for sharing. Now if only someone could tell Stephen, because as it turns out, Henry is a boy after his father's own heart--playful!..but in a naughty way.
