na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na

(I don't know why they look like such unhappy weirdos. I swear we treat them well.)
This past week was crazy busy week. Last Halloween Stephen and I were painting and hot gluing costumes hours before Halloween, so this year I set some incremental goals throughout the week. And it worked! By noon Saturday we were costume complete at the Crumrine house. Here are some photos of our weekend, in order of events.
This is a small part of our mess (making belts).

Then we carved pumpkins Saturday night (finally).

And I decorated for fall. I think is it quite apparent that Stephen and I have different ideas when it comes to fall decor.
Stephen started a batch of sparkling hard cider (he thinks he looks real handsome in this picture).

Late Sunday afternoon we frosted sugar cookies.

We had dinner with Tia D, Dylan, and Neighbor Dan and his daughter (no pictures).
And then we went trick or treating!
In the company of some of our more experienced neighbors, we made our way into a gated community - and it was awesome. I don't know if it was the neighborhood or the fact that Halloween fell on a Sunday, but it was pretty much just us. It was quiet and beautiful and smelled like fall and water and wet leaves. It was chilly but not cold (beer helps). There were huge trees and the sound of water and a dark night sky. It was amazing. This may be my favorite Halloween (as a parent) to date!

The boys made out like bandits!
That would be the sugar and this would be my kids on the sugar:
And then the boys threw some sticky toys on the ceiling.
And I let them throw their toothbrushes at the ceiling to try and knock the sticky things down--cause I am cool like that.

Good night!
