I did it! I actually made something from scratch that turned out. I didn’t have much hope for the truffles, considering that the toffee I also made was a total bust, but they were delicious. I was so hopeless about their inevitable failure, that I dragged the whole process out for two entire days. And even then, I almost threw in the towel before completing the final steps on Monday.

But my hard work and determination paid off (don’t worry, I know it only short-lived and I do not expect similar outcomes in the future). And don’t get me wrong, they were no culinary master piece. No, they were hella ugly and lumpy looking, but they were damn tasty. Tasty enough to share with others outside of our home—which is completely unheard of. Yeah, I’m proud.
