12:48 PMWe rang in the New Year over an extended four-day weekend spent at the Condo. It was wonderful. We did lots of nothing for three entire nights! Well, that is not quite true.
We did wander into town and visit Iconoclast Books.

We did hit the sledding hill for a few quick runs. There are no pictures of this because I was too scared my new camera might get damaged on the hill. But Henry took to sledding and insisted on making a number of trips down the hill by himself! I think that baby might have some daredevil in him.
Stephen did make two runs to the grocery store.

And on Saturday some old friends joined us for dinner. These particular friends have decided to buy only American made products during 2011. We think this sounds like a fun challenge and have decided to join them on their venture.
I have always considered myself thrifty and take pleasure in a good deal or money saved. With that in mind, challenging ourselves to buy only American made products adds a fun twist to our already parsimonious lifestyle. I know finding the boys new bikes for their birthdays will be difficult, and I image we might encounter more rough spots then we think.
But so far, so good. Our first day began with a stop at Hailey’s Stinker Station for gas because, according to our friends, that is the place to go for gas. The day ended without the purchase of my typical nighttime cold medicine because it happens to be made in Mexico. Bummer. But we are in it to win it, so stay tuned. I might have some more to share was we move through the year, with or without our usual stuff. But who needs stuff anyway.
