Today the boys turn five! Five is so big! It is hard to imagine that just five years ago Stephen and I were preparing to bring these two beautiful babies into the world. Well, maybe it was just me who was actually preparing to "bring them in". Have I mentioned that I birthed two babies at the same time in less than 45 minutes? Of course, the whole labor bit lasted awhile, but the pushing was a total of 45 minutes--nine minutes apart.

Although I feel like mentioning this feat detracts from the celebration of our growing boys, Stephen and I should really take this moment to congratulate ourselves. Our children are beautiful (as the photos demonstrate) and we work damn hard on raising them up to be bad ass rock stars full compassion and kindness and empathy and confidence and intelligence and spontaneity and wonder and freedom and humor and creativity and adventure and love. I am just gonna go ahead and say it.  I think we are pretty effing cool--all four of us!
