dinner a deux
11:00 PMGrandma and Grandpa spent the weekend with us. They were here to watch Steve Martin play the banjo on Saturday. But they came up a day early and that meant we got to see them two nights in a row! Which is what my title is meant to imply, although I think it means dinner for two rather than dinner two nights in a row. How would I say that in French?
Stephen grilled slammin' salmon on Friday. Tia-D almost dropped a bottle of wine while holding Wyatt, who recently loves to cuddle and cling to her. And we all around enjoyed ourselves.

On Saturday night, Grandma and Grandpa brought over appetizers before the banjo pickin' started up. Lucky for us our house was on the way to the show! The boys ended up watching a movie because they were tuckered out from their big day floating, so it wasn't as lively as Friday evening. But we still had an equally all around good time.

Stephanie also tried to help me figure out how to work my sewing machine. The machine is a Christmas gift and came with a how-to lesson down at the sewing shop, which interestingly, is employed only by men. After seven months, I still haven't taken the lesson. This was Stephanie's final piece of instructional advice for working my sewing machine.
