european vacation, the breakdown

11:08 PM

So I went to Europe with my brothers in September. I was gone for a total of 10 days with 8 solid days of sightseeing and vacationing. Not that anyone would expect differently, but it was awesome. Totally awesome.

Stephen did not join us and I feel compelled to offer a bit of an explanation. He was, of course, invited. He just declined. You see, Stephen has this irrational fear of flying. Like crazy irrational. Like he has to be completely knocked-out-medicated-to-even-think-about-boarding-a-plane irrational. Plus, someone had to stay home and watch those boys - at least that's what he told himself.

Anyway, lots of folks are interested in my trip and are asking about the pictures I took. So because I have over 1,000 photos - not including the pictures Jack shared with me - and because I can't seem to come up with a clever idea for relaying all the stories from our adventures abroad, I am just going to post the pictures in sequential order. And of course, I'll  offer some funny details about each excursion and all that.

I imagine that it will take a few weeks for me to pull it all together. Meaning you should not expect a new post every day. I know, many of you are disappointed to hear that. I've kept you waiting for so long already. But things are crazy busy at our house these days. Both boys are playing soccer plus Wyatt just joined the chess club and Henry has taken up gymnastics! See! Crazy busy!

Anyway, to kick off this European Share-A-Thon, I'll leave you with a short video. It's probably my most favorite video from the entire trip. But be warned - it's not pretty. If anything, it's disgusting. But if you know me and if you know my brothers, you'll appreciate the humor and Jack's good-naturedness. Enjoy and bon appetit!
