barbacoa de cabeza
11:12 PMAlthough family camp was loads of fun, Stephen and I hightailed it out of there on Saturday afternoon to get back home in time for some slow roasted cow head. Yes, you read that right. Cow head.
Some friends of ours have been wanting to cook a cow head for quite some time and finally got around to doing it. Then they had a little dinner party because, as it turns out, there's actually a fair amount of meat on a cow's head.
And it's not as disgusting as you might think. I went for tongue rather than cheek meat to avoid any tendons. I also had two glasses of wine before I was ready to dive into the feast. But I really could have tried it without the wine because it was delicious. Seriously. Delicioso. I highly recommend it.

OMG Hannah!!! We have a cow's head (or some other dead animal that John found while hunting) hanging on our fence - not our dinner table. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog.
