I don't know what happened but yellow has become one of my favorite colors. I wouldn't paint an entire wall yellow or anything ('cause I've already done that) but I would use it as an accent color. I love the look of yellow against grey and white, which are my two for reals favorite colors right now.

So on Monday night I popped over to the neighbor's to poach some forsythia branches. He works out of town and I figured someone needed to enjoy those pretty yellow flowers. First, I grabbed my branch cutting tool thing and then set off across the street.



After I had wrangled myself a good sized bundle of branches, I headed back home to find some white and grey in need of a bit of yellow.



Lovely, don't you think? A hint of yellow. A touch of spring. And so much better than my first attempt to ring in the changing of the seasons.
